Tarn-et-Garonne, France- A Place in the Sun

Tarn-et-Garonne, France Laura Hamilton

Laura Hamilton is helping Keith from Gloucestershire find his perfect two bedroom holiday home with rental potential in the Tarn-et-Garonne region of Southwest France. And he’s bringing along his best friend Neil to keep him from getting carried away while they’re looking. With a budget of £180,000, Laura has five great properties to show them, but will any result in an offer?

About the area

The department of Tarn et Garonne in south western France is about 9 hours drive from Calais – or if you want to fly, the nearest airport is Toulouse – which is roughly 2 hours flight time from the UK – then it’s around an hours drive.

Tarn et Garonne is a mainly agricultural region, named after the rivers Tarn and Garonne that flow through it. With so much fresh produce – and wine – coming from the region, it’s a real foodie hotspot, and it’s also popular with walkers, cyclists and lovers of the outdoor lifestyle. It’s still a mainly French region but there are around three thousand Brits living here in an overall population of around 250 thousand.
