Paphos, Cyprus - A Place in the Sun

Paphos, Cyprus Leah Charles King

Leah Charles King is in southwest Cyprus helping house hunter Uri find a permanent home for himself and his wife Hazel. Uri and Hazel from Aberdeen are keen to escape the cold Scottish winters but can Leah find them the perfect place? Unfortunately, Hazel isn’t able to fly out so their daughter Shiann is helping choose the perfect home. With a budget of £200,000 and five properties up her sleeve, she gives it her best shot.

About the area

To get to Southwest Cyprus, you can fly into Paphos in around four and a half hours from the UK. Cyprus has been settled since the Stone Age, but this part of the island is associated with the Romans–there are many archeological sites containing remains of Roman tombs, villas and palaces if history’s your thing. Over the last 50 years tourism has boomed in Southwest Cyprus, and it’s a particularly popular area with Brits–in some towns and villages the population is more British than Cypriot!
