About the area

Spain’s biggest island, Mallorca is the most popular destination of the Balearic Islands, with 28 million people passing through its busy airport every year. It is also one of the region’s most beautiful and diverse places, often described not as an island, but as a miniature continent all its own. You will be amazed by the variety of its landscape beyond the dramatic coastline, from the fertile plains of the centre to the alpine peaks of the Tramuntana. Mallorca airport, Son Sant Joan, is in the Southeast of the island, a few miles away from Palma. A flight from London to Mallorca takes 2 hours and 25 minutes.
