About the area
La Cala de Mijas is a coastal town of about four thousand residents, just under a 25 minute drive from Malaga airport to which there are loads of direct flights from the UK taking around 3 hours. There’s a lovely 35 metre wide and mile long sandy beach here, with shallow waters perfect for families. Sunbeds can be rented for five pounds a day and you could even treat yourself to a beachside massage or a relaxing walk along the promenade and coastal paths. All this is just a few steps from the town centre which is filled with shops, many catering to the growing number of tourists holidaying here, and a great selection of places to eat and drink in the sunshine.
