Around a 4.5 hour flight from the UK into Larnaca airport and a short drive takes you to the East coast of Cyprus. Known for having some of the best beaches on the island and also famed for its snorkelling and diving, the East Coast has a huge selection of secluded coves and rocky outcrops to explore, both from the gorgeous clear waters, and dry land. While there are some busy tourist resorts here like Ayia Napa, the area has plenty of other, slightly lesser known seaside destinations such as Kapparis with its main strip of bars and restaurants, as well as large towns like Paralimni, further inland with a more relaxed feel. And there are countless traditional villages dotted across the region, catering for all types of holidays.
