Retired teacher Rachel and Project Manager Robin from Derbyshire have been married for 34 years and dream of buying a holiday home in Spain’s Jalon Valley, with the hope of possibly relocating there in the future. They have a budget of 250 thousand pounds, and Ben Hillman has 5 great properties to show them–but will any of them be good enough for them to make an offer?

About the area

The Jalon Valley in south-east Spain is about halfway between Valencia and Alicante. You can fly into either city in about two hours from the UK, and then it’s just over an hour’s drive from either airport. The Jalon Valley, also known as the Pop Valley, has some of the most stunning scenery in this part of Spain. There are loads of hiking trails throughout the foothills of the Sierra Bernia mountains and you’re only around half an hour’s drive from the coast if you fancy a bit of sun sea and sand. The valley is also famous for its wines.
