The Costa Blanca, in the province of Alicante, is one of Europe’s top holiday hotspots and covers 120 miles of coastline. It sits close to the border with Murcia, near La Manga and the beautiful Mar Menor. The southern stretch includes popular resorts like Punta Prima, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca and Cabo Roig. The coastline here varies from rugged coves with clear waters to fine sandy beaches, which are amongst some of the best in Spain - ideal for watersports, fishing, running and cycling. As well as its great beaches and golf resorts, this area is also famous for La Zenia Boulevard – the largest shopping centre in Alicante with over 150 shops and 5000 free parking spaces. It’s very busy in the summer with a lively social scene enjoying temperatures of up to 32 degrees, while winter temperatures can reach around 16-17 degrees C.
