Fuerteventura
What's the appeal?
Fuerteventura wins the prize for the oldest Canary Island, at the ripe old age of around 20 million years. It originated from a volcanic eruption and has some of the best scenery in all of the Canary Islands. More than 5 airlines fly to the island from the UK - it takes 4 hours to fly from London, and prices average £100 return, but can be found much cheaper.
Many Brits choose to buy here because of the climate. Along the coast the annual rainfall amounts to less than 200 millimetres (8 inches) per year, and you can feel the spells of hot sun for ten hours a day in July. Even in January the temperature ranges from 21 °C to 27°C, making Fuerteventura the perfect destination for year-round sun!
