Alora, Spain
What's the appeal?
It's around a two hour flight from the Uk to Malaga airport and then it’s a 40 minute drive from there into the Adalucian countryside to Alora town. Alora itself is packed with whitewashed houses which sprawl up the hill to the magnificent remain of an ancient castle, the town’s economy is based on agriculture and the region is famous for fruit, olives and grape vines. Alora is a mainly Spanish working town, and it has it’s own festival known as the "Perotas Soup Day" dedicated to celebrating its most traditional dishes.
