Benalmadena Property for Sale
Hot Properties in Benalmadena
Where to find a Benalmadena property for sale
Benalmadena is the perfect Anglo-friendly holiday resort on the Costa del Sol.
It’s got great beaches, is relatively affordable and you don’t have to go very far to find your all-day English breakfast on the “strip”.
Located between that other party town of Torremolinos - and Fuengirola - the resort is a great place if you want a cheap apartment that will rent well when you are not using it - there are many apartment blocks behind the beach or the Paseo Maritimo promenade that stretches the length of the resort. It’s also great for nightclubs and a lively evening out - head to Solymar Square and Puerto Marina for some of the best spots.
But it does have other attractions - its Arabian style Puerto Marina has over 1,000 moorings is perhaps Benalmadena's centrepiece and it worth an evening stroll. There are also plenty of facilities for families - in the area of Arroyo de la Miel you’ll find Tivoli World, an amusement park, and a cable car. Selwo Marina and Sealife Aquarium are also nearby.
At Paloma Park, there’s a large lake, water plume and landscaped gardens, where peacocks roam freely. There’s also a cactus garden with species from all over the world. There are also two children's playgrounds and three cafes. In Avenida Garcia Lorca you will find the Costa del Sol's only real ice skating rink. Not to forget the town is home to the largest Buddhist stupa in the Western World. Who knew?
If you are looking for a home, bear in mind that Benalmadena is divided into three separate parts: Benalmadena Costa is the coastal strip that contains most of the resorts hotels and some apartment blocks. Arroyo de la Miel is where you will find shops and many Spanish bars and restaurants, plus the train station and weekly every Friday.
Benalmadena Pueblo is where you will find the town hall. The Pueblo itself is like the many Spanish "white villages" found in southern Spain, with narrow cobbled streets with whitewashed houses, dripping with bougainvillaea.
Expect to pay around €100,000 for a one-bedroom apartment - in the Pueblo or Arroyo de la Miel - or you can find two-bedroom examples from around €140,000. There’s a lot of apartments for sale in the resort so consider your location carefully - what will attract renters to your property, rather than other ones?
Benalmadena is cheap, cheerful and fun. It’s hardly a surprise that many people love to go there, but it won’t suit you if you prefer to escape the tourist crowds.
