Some of the best and most beautiful beaches in Turkey are in close proximity to Kalkan, and it is also blessed with a wealth of historical sites and areas of natural beauty, such as Patara Beach and Saklikent gorge, and fascinating historic sites, such as Patara (now UNESCO protected) Xanthos, & Letoon. Kalkan rarely disappoints holiday-makers, and this is one of the reasons for its loyal and long standing following particularly amongst foreign visitors, many of whom have gone on to purchase holiday homes.
