This past weekend, 3rd - 5th May, we brought A Place in the Sun Live to London's ExCel, offering residents of the capital and surrounding regions the perfect opportunity to progress their dreams of owning a property abroad.
We were thrilled to welcome more than 5,100 property enthusiasts to the exhibition hall over the course of three days. They were all seeking guidance and inspiration, and were able to speak to a diverse range of over 80 exhibitors from across Spain, France, Portugal, Cyprus, Turkey, Malta, Croatia, Tanzania and many more! These exhibitors included estate agents, lawyers, financial advisers, and currency experts, each ready to assist our visitors in navigating their international property purchase journey.
This exhibition saw the introduction of two brand new areas. The Italian Zone catered to those specifically planning to purchase a property in Italy, while the Emigration Zone provided information for those looking to relocate to Canada, Australia and New Zealand!
The event's seminar program, which took place across three stages—the Hub, Seminar Theatre, and French Village—delivered invaluable insights into finding a property abroad, location-specific advice, and practical tips for negotiating the purchasing process. Each seminar featured a panel of overseas property experts, who provided key insights to empower our visitors to make informed decisions about finding and buying their dream property.
Fans of the A Place in the Sun TV show had the opportunity to meet presenters Jasmine Harman, Laura Hamilton and Craig Rowe! They took to the stage to share their overseas property advice and chat about what happens during filming of the TV show.
On Sunday Craig was joined by his house hunters Alison and Gabriel, who you may recognise from the TV show! They came along to A Place in the Sun Live in Manchester, and since then have taken part in episodes of both A Place in the Sun and A Place in the Sun - What Happened Next? The trio caught up on the main stage and told our audience all about the filming process, the property they bought in Denia, and what happened after the cameras stopped rolling!
The production crew conducted screen tests for potential future stars of A Place in the Sun. Who knows—some of this year's visitors might return next year to share their success stories on stage!
