The ever popular ski resort of Chamonix Mont Blanc is to be the location of a new luxury development, launched 2016.
Five-star Residence Cristal de Jade will be situated at the foot of the Aguille du Midi cable car, according to developers MGM.
Richard Deans of MGM's UK sales office believes the Chamonix property market is widely regarded as an indicator for the whole region:
"As the biggest town in an area which is a skiing and mountain pursuits destination, it has the widest range of property which helps to give a more global view of the market."
The construction giants report that the site will occupy approximately 1.2 acres of land, and form part of a new quartier (district) on the southern edge of the town.
One of the oldest ski resorts in the French Alps, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc hosted the first Winter Olympics 90 years ago.
Buyers of the apartments will be treated to use of private garden, underground parking and more. Facilities within the residence will include indoor pools for adults and children, as well as steam rooms, gym and health spa.
The town is reportedly the third most visited place in France following the Eiffel Tower in Paris and Mount St.Michel in Brittany.
With a host of shops, bars and restaurants close by, the new development should expand the resort's profile even further.
Prices for a one-bed apartment will start at around €291,666. Larger, four-bed apartments are expected to go for €750,000.
