A survey conducted by Easyvoyage shows that the Egyptian tourism market is improving, following the recent demonstrations and change in government, which should have a positive knock-on effect as far as Egypt's property market is concerned.
For those seeking an affordable place in the sun, Egypt offers good and easy access from Europe, an idyllic year round climate and relatively cheap property prices.
However, the recent political unrest deterred many holidaymakers and prospective holiday home buyers from visiting Egypt. But with conditions stabilising, many Brits appear to be returning to the North African country.
Founding President of Easyvoyage, Jean-Pierre Nadir, commented: "Britons, especially those travelling with children are always on the lookout for new destinations but as always, the price tag is incredibly important. Our survey shows that Egypt will bounce back relatively quickly, helped by the fact that the popular Red Sea resorts remain largely unaffected."
