Full Description
Fabulous traditional farmhouse with sheds, annex and garage, with 9,020 square meters of land.
The house has been recently renovated with care, retaining many of the traditional features. There is a convenient parking space for two to three cars in front of the house.
Four stone steps lead up to the main entrance door, which opens into a small den. To the left, we have a traditional kitchen with open fireplace, to the right we have a wonderful bedroom with two windows. The ceilings throughout the house are exceptionally high, giving the house a mansion appeal. From the den, we have wooden double doors with overhead window panes which open into a long corridor. From here there are four good sized double bedrooms, two on each side, with large windows and high ceilings. All the windows and doors are original hard wood. The windows have roll-down shades. The floors are original hard wood.
Further down the corridor on the right-hand side we have a door to a small corridor. Here we have steps leading up to the attic of the house. The attic offers loads of space to be converted to more living space, featuring the wooden structure of the recently replaced roof.
Next along the corridor we have a storage space making good use of the space underneath the stairs. Then we have a fully renovated light flooded bathroom with vanity basin with storage cupboards underneath, a toilet with hand shower, and a large glass shower cabin, fully tiled in white marble. On the opposite side of the corridor we have a more traditional bathroom with the flair of the 1980´s, with toilet, bidet, vanity basin with storage underneath and a bathtub with Plexiglas sliding compartment.
At the end of the corridor to the right we enter an anteroom in which we find a large kitchen cabinet on one side and ahead we find a large wood burner. A broad archway gives access to a bright family kitchen with plenty of space for a dining table to one side and in the corner a living area with sofas. There is a five-flame gas stove and oven with extractor hood above, a high standing fridge / freezer, a double sink and plenty of base cupboards.
A door leads out onto a small covered porch, with three steps leading onto the cemented patio with vehicle access. Here we find an annex used as a work space, with electric connection, a traditional open fire space and a sink. This could easily be used as a spacious outdoor kitchen for get-togethers or summer cooking, to make food preserves and jams, chutneys, etc.
Then there is a large and high open garage, used to park cars and also for get-togethers and parties, with a bbq on one side.
From here we continue to a stone-built annex which used to be stalls to keep animals or hay and tools, with an enormous potential to be converted into more living space, a guest accommodation, a granny flat or similar.
Next to this stone-built annex we have a space used as a vegetable garden.
Going back to the patio, there is a huge garage, with loads of space, for cars, motorcycles, horse trailers, etc, or to be used as a work shop. Next to this we have a spacious chicken coup. We go to the side of the house, where we have good space to install a pool, and two dozen mature cherry trees, with automatic irrigation, using water from the properties own bore hole. The largest part of the land consists of an apple plantation, also with automatic irrigation installed.
The property is on the corner of a local road with little traffic, and another narrow lane with almost no traffic.
