This pretty house with land is about 7km's from Bussiere-Poitevine in the Haute Vienne, Nouvelle Aquitaine. It is situated down a little road which has magnificent views of the surrounding countryside if you continue down the chemin (bridle/footpath) in the hamlet and you go down to the river, there are some lovely walks in this area; it always makes me smile when I stumble across yet another unknown treasure in the beautiful countryside that is the Haute Vienne.
You have to visit this hamlet to appreciate the peace, tranquillity and beauty of its surroundings.
The village of Bussiere-Poitevine is a great place to base yourself, it is between the two rivers Gartempe and Vienne and close to many tourist attractions including Le Dorat and L'Isle Jourdain: with easy access to the Route Nationale (N147).
Getting to the area is easy with flights from many UK airports into Limoges (55km) and Poitiers (66km); the nearest trains at Le Dorat (15km) have links to services to Poitiers train station where you have TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux, London & Brussels.
The house is attached at one side to another house which is owned by this owner's siblings and may come up for sale in the future. I only know of one French couple who live in the hamlet full time, it is very quiet. The house is in a courtyard setting and has a kitchen, living/dining room, bedroom, bathroom and WC on the first floor. The owner has started to section off the attic area to make a further 2 bedrooms and possibly a bathroom; but it is only at the partition/electrics added stage (the owner was an electrician before he retired).
To the left of the house are some outbuildings and a large field, the across from the house to the left you have a barn and a potager.
The house has mains water, electricity, Gas (Bottled), and drainage is to a fosse which would not conform, internet is available but not currently connected, however I could get access via my mobile.
