A unique apartment in a listed historical building on a calm road near Vichy town centre with a view over Lake Allier. The edifice was built in 1911, towards the end of the historicist trend in architecture. It was designed by the architect Samuel Henriquet in a neo-Gothic style. It has a trapezoid plan, a pointed corner and an adjoining corner tower crowned with a corbelled rampart walk. The main section has elevations of rubble stone and ashlar, punctuated with tracery, open-sided loggia balconies and mullioned windows with mouldings. Doors beneath archivolts lead to a raised ground floor. With the apartment's windows, terrace and loggia balcony, the owners can enjoy a remarkable view of Lake Allier and its lush banks all year round. The western elevation faces the lake. The southern elevation faces a small, tree-lined road. The loggia balconies, including that of the apartment, divide the lake-facing elevation: the left-hand side is where the apartment's bedrooms are and the right-hand side is where the lounge, dining room and kitchen are. The apartment's interior was recently renovated with high-quality materials. All over the elevations and within the loggia balconies, the carved stone that forms the window surrounds is sculpted into Gothic styles. Magnificent segmental arches of carved stone stretch above the open sides of the loggia balconies. The windows, fanlights and French windows have wooden frames and small panes.
