Full Description

This beautiful old building has been in existence for over 550 years. Fortunately, it has been modernised somewhat over that time, but plenty of character features remain intact and the property has a lovely homely feel. An independent gite and potential to develop an outbuilding as well as the location close to a lovely lake & town is ideal for anyone looking for a property that might offer income potential.

Originally built in 1470 and from looking at the architectural features, it is thought the house was first renovated in 1807. The house is quirky and has a real sense of history. It is situated in a small hamlet along with a large manor house, next to a small church.

Six years ago, the current owners rewired and completely redecorated - installing a new kitchen and bathrooms. The septic tank was also installed in 2016 and the property has fibre broadband. The main living space is heated by the fantastic open fire place. There is a total 134m2 habitable space. Here's the current layout:

A large area of barns are attached to the house so there is a substantial area of space that could be converted into additional gites / accommodation / workshops if required. (Depending on plans, planning permission may be required.)

There is also a completely independent house that also offers potential for renovation. Originally a bread oven, the house has lovely original stone walls, wooden beams, a concrete floor and a the septic tank and electric connection have been installed ready for conversion. It would certainly be a project, but it could be a very cute little cottage once complete.
