Full Description

This is perfect for someone wanting a property for two families with independent living space or for someone wanting an income from a luxury Airbnb type business. It is, to all intents and purposes two 3 Bed Properties in one.

There are many things we love about what we do but every now and again we find an absolute gem of a property, something really special, this is one of those occasions, in fact, this is probably the best property I have seen, a perfect balance of interior and exterior space.

First of all the location, although it is registered in Salinas it is probably closer to the bigger town of Sax about five minutes drive. There is more to read about Sax at the end of the description, but this is the place to live as it´s 35 minutes to Alicante Airport and the beaches.

How best to begin to describe this truly stunning property? It´s a beautiful 3 Bed 3 Bath Villa that has had the most imaginative of extensions built almost around it to give you relaxation and entertainment areas that have a flow to them that is extraordinary. Every part of the house seems to connect, every part is superbly presented and is full of natural light. This is going to sound crazy I know but there is an energy about the property that is hard not to feel.

The owners have had a design made to change the huge extended areas into a 3 Bed independent living space whilst keeping the very private 3 Bed original property, as previously mentioned, this is perfection for two families and the change to a 6 Bed property is at the owners´expense.

So, let me attempt to walk you through it. First of all, there are remote-controlled gates that open to a lovely long driveway that brings you to the villa and there is a big carport plus areas of natural shade to park a number of vehicles.

You can´t help but notice the owners love dogs as there is a rather luxurious dog kennel near the carport. Then you walk to the side of the villa through a patio area and walk out to the view of the magnificent all-year-round swimming pool which is just short of 10 x 5 so it´s a pool for swimming lengths not just for keeping cool and relaxing and this is all set in a super garden area with views to the mountains and it is entirely private.

Now we have a massive outside terrace with remote-controlled canopies that are also wind-activated so on the occasions that the wind blows forcibly then the canopies retract, how cool is that?

In the first part of the villa and there is a long and beautiful lounge area easily big enough for family and guests and also for dining and then the enormous entertainment area which has a bar, a bathroom, and space for two or even three more bedrooms if required. It would be easy to actually split the property in two for two families to live in without bumping into each other.

A third lounge which is being used as an office takes you to the secret door. It´s not really a secret door but it is the actual entrance to the main house that is a fabulous 3 Bed 2 Bath Villa with a big lounge/diner, a superbly fitted kitchen, a wonderful master bedroom suite with en-suite bathroom and two more bedrooms and a guest bathroom.

The interior is exactly the way you would expect it to be with doors and fitted wardrobes of the highest quality. There is so much more that I could mention but I´m in danger of writing a book. Please peruse the photos that probably don´t do justice as the weather was mixed when we were there but the video is exceptional and walks you through the villa. Please note that all photos and videos are taken without filters or any special lenses.

It´s obvious how much I love this villa, it has to be described as perfect and, if you are in the market for something special at a realistic price then you have to come and view it.

Salinas is a lovely small town near Sax in inland Alicante and just 35 minutes’ drive to Alicante Airport and five minutes more to the beaches. Like Sax, Salinas has almost no unemployment and this means that both towns have very low crime rates, a far cry from when I lived in the UK and we had to lock everything a million times, here life is tranquil and very safe, neighbours are like family members in these towns and they are always on hand to help newcomers.

There are two banks, Sabadell and La Caixa which are two of the biggest banks in Spain. A Doctor´s surgery, a Butcher, a Baker but, sadly, no candlestick maker, however, there is a minimarket, a Public Swimming and Sports Arena and a Pharmacy along with a host of bars, cafes and restaurants and a lovely Public Park and magnificent views of the four mountain ranges in which the town settles.

Consum supermarket in Sax, an equivalent to Waitrose in the UK, will deliver to Salinas along with Mercadona Supermarket in Elda as will one of the Kebab shops and also a Pizza delivery service is available. The superb Hospital in Elda is 15 minutes away.

Parque La Rana (Park La Rana) is a small but very beautiful park where a Medieval Market is held once a year and also it is the home of the restaurant La Rana Salinas which currently has a massive 4.7 rating and where people come from miles around for their rice dishes and superb quality meats.

My favourite Café is Trivial and there is now a lovely Conservatory built next to the small park where you can sit in the warmth of the winter sunshine or, in summer, all the glass is drawn back to allow the mountain breeze to flow through.

My second favourite has to be the Petrol Station that has a tiny café in the rear, it used to be famous as the “unofficial smoking” bar but those days have gone and it is now a place where many of the factory workers go for a coffee and a tot of brandy or rum. There is something about it that tells you this couldn´t happen in the UK.

Whilst Sax has seen massive increases in property values due to the number of itinerant workers looking to rent Monday to Friday – the Spanish don´t do commuting, even 20 minutes in the car is seen as commuting – Salinas I snow catching up and is proving a great town for investment as there are still affordable townhouses and apartments.

My son has recently taken advantage of the lower prices to make his first investment in Salinas and we are excited to see what he makes of it. Meanwhile, we have some excellent options starting at 25,000€ needing reform and some around the 35-40k needing less work and all are capable of long-term rentals bringing in around 350€ per month, a great ROI.
